To help people aware about the products we have with us and at the same time help them understand how to contribute by joining our hands.

1: Spread Awareness
2: Recruit FSAs.

MozMagnum and MozPunjab runs on the same thought and always brings productive contributors to us.
It was a three day event covering all aspect starting with:

1: Introduction (Mozilla, Products, Projects, Vision and Mission)
2: Glimpses to Firefox Operating System (OS) by using awesome geeksphone.
3: Talk about WebFWD, Webmaker, Popcorn, Firefox Student Ambassador(FSA).
4: Quiz followed by One to one Interaction.
5: Selecting contributors.

Day: MozPower & MozMAgnum
Venue: Rayat Bahra Group of Institution, Punjab.
Crowd: 400+
Team: Anup Kumar Mishra, Ajay Singhi, Ankit Mishra

Time: 0900hrs to 1800 hrs

Agenda: The whole agenda was segregated into different stages,

1. Session 1:  

• Introduction to Mozilla & Products. 
• Mission
• Products & Projects
• Introduction to Bugzilla, Thunderbird
•  FireFox OS
  
• 

•  Session 2 :  

           1) Thimble

            2) Popcorn Maker

            3) X-Ray goggles

This session started with Hacking the college website in-front of the crowd and they were thrilled by the concept. It brought a lot of queries from the crowd and the interest was worth noticing. Apart from this here we gave them example of how to create cool popcorn videos and showed them the magic of the same by creating a quick video over there. 

Glimpses of Mozilla Summit Video by AjaY Singhi has also been showed to them which helped us build a platform to talk about Mozilla Summmit and cool MozCamps.

• Session 3: MozQuiz: 

          Format

         Two sections (Technical Ojective & Subjective)

            Time: 30 mins 

             Objective: To filter out crowd on the basis of technical knowledge and hence we       followed the process with interviews so that we get best tech savvy as well as good leaders in our  community. 

 

• Session4: WebFWD  & Webmaker : Being a proud WebFWD Scout, Anup took the opportunity to encourage students to participate in our WebFwd program. He also explained students about our 3 months hands on accelerator program throughout the globe to participate and make the web better and open place.
  

Session 5: FSA

 The beauty of the program is that it motivates both technical as well as non-technical contributors to come together and help build the Mozilla family strong. I took this opportunity to help understand the FSA programme its complete fall about how it goes and how we work on this. We also motivated the students to took part in large number so that we can find out best amongst the pool for this programm and the result was marvelous which helped us select near about 30 FSA from the campus.

We conducted the quiz and evaluated the answer sheets on our own . There after we selected top three scorers and awarded them with beautiful Swags. Here after we went for the interview round and finalised a bunch of awesome Student Ambassadors . 
The final call was to take cool pictures ao that we commemorate the memories and cheer it always.

Superb Swags were shared to all the participants so as to encourage their participation and help them tuned throughout the session.

The day went well and the memories are worth remembering.

"Mozilla Summer Camp"

"Knowledge increases when one starts sharing it with needy". Mozilla started a very appreciable step to organize Summer party this season. Idea behind this is to help creating innovative pages on web and at the same time giving opportunities to coding aficionados.
Basic idea of this event is to learn coding hand to hand by simple procedure of sharing your intelligence and skills.Apart from this there is nice opportunity to meet highly qualified coding and web lovers and grasp something valuable in real time.

Calendar :

The party will start with a "Global coding Weekend" June 23 & 24. After this the process will continue with local events and teach-ins all summer. These local events will be useful in spreading valuable information about Mozilla to non-Mozilla users and other people who are not aware of Mozilla Firefox enabling us to create more and more users in simple steps.

Moz Intro 2012 & WoMoz Induction

Any Organization can't  flourish until it has the mix culture of people. Diversity is required so as to flourish from the root to the top level . Keeping this concept in mind I and Anup Kumar Mishra  both came up with an idea of why not select some girls as campus representatives (as we don't have even a single girl here in Bhopal rep group).

Venue for the event was Acropolis Engineering Institute Bhopal. The Acropolis group of Institution organizes Technical events which comprises of lots of presentation , technical quiz and which gathers diversified and a good crowd of enthusiastic students.

Mozilla Rep Anup Kumar Mishra helped me a lot in organizing this , he has consistently guided and appreciated for the efforts and has been a very motivational personality throughout the process to me.

The whole process started from 12 noon and went till 5:00 pm (5 hrs). Initially there was less crowd for this but as we started a little seminar before the event to get a glimpse of Mozilla Firefox and benefits and positivity of working as a Student Rep the hall soon get inundated by  enthusiast students. The expected crowd line for the event get crossed and it was hard to stop people as the hall was already full , but somehow we managed to arrange place for participants.

Event was basically revolving around a little introduction of Mozilla Technology and different Add-ons available to our Firefox and benefits of using them . Apart from this the main focus was on selecting students as Student Representative and make our networking strong at our local place.

In the very first step we organized a technical quiz which was in two phase T1 and T2.
A large people participated for this quiz but we filtered  technically sound people from first round and then comes the second round which also was based on the same frame but on the tougher side .

After all this there was a little interaction (one to one) from the students in top list and then we selected  5 students to be the part of Student Rep bhopal. Though we initiated the event basically for WoMoz but got only one candidate smart enough to join the clan .

The workshop ended with the participants receiving their Mozilla t-shirts as prize of technical quiz for attending, and the Mozilla Reps arranged  goodies (buttons, stickers) for them. The overall enthusiasm was prominent, and I'm really glad this event exceeded the expectations of every level of success!

A hearty thanks to my Team Firefox Mr. Anup Kumar Mishra for working efficiently to make this event a success. Also i would like to thank hospitality team of Acropolis Bhopal and enthusiastic students there  for helping me sail the boat of this event towards the happy end . 

Re-creating myself !!

Not new to blogging did it already in my yore days. Different situations came and i also get molded myself to them. Blogging has always been a kind of stress burner to me but earlier it used to be only philosophical life triggered events that used to get their place on my page .
                                      But this time  i will drag myself to a new level (technology driven events).
Hoping to do well and starting from today ATB to me :) :)
